Jeff crooked a finger, beckoning me outside.
I held my breath. I didn't want to go outside, but Jeff would have just break down the door and drag me out.
Before recieving more punishment, I obliged. Quickly, I locked the windows, doors, and the garage.
I went to the kitchen and grabbed a rolling-pin. I didn't take a knife because I didn't know where my mom hid them.
I pulled up my hoodie and took a breath. Then, I pushed out the back door. I climbed over the fence and ran to the spot where I saw Jeff.
Jeff grinned wider as I approached. I stopped about four feet away from him.
"Hello, Cathie," Jeff purred. "Long time, no see."
"What do you want?" I snapped, raising the rolling-pin protectively in front of me.
"I'm not allowed to see the one who spared my life?" Jeff cackled. "Our deal was that I stop killing. You said nothing about keeping away from you."
"Cripes," I winced.
"Come on, Cathie. Why do you hate me so much?"
"You kill my friend, you tear me apart, you dare to show your face to me, and you have no earthly idea why I LOATHE you?!"
"Ouch," Jeff said dully. "Excuse me for following the rules."
"What rules say you can slaughter innocent people?" I felt my voice tighten. I knew I was losing it, and fast.
"MY rules, that's what!" Jeff let out a cold laugh.
"RRGH!" I lunged for Jeff. He took out two knives and braced himself.
I swung the rolling-pin hard, slamming it into the side of his head.
"Ungh!" Jeff grunted, shoving me hard. I retained my blance and tackled him, shoving him to the ground.
"W...wait!" Jeff begged. But I wasn't listening. I grabbed him by the shoulders, and slammed his head against the ground.
"Now you feel my pain! Now you experience the pain of the countless people you murdered!!" I laughed insanely. I was too far gone to have any more sense left in me. I giggled maniacally, feeling the last thread of sanity that I held onto for two years finally snap.
