Fanfiction Title: Freddy VS Jason: The Next Chapter
Plot Background: A bus-full of kids arrives at Camp Crystal Lake, ignoring the dark past that surrounds the place. Joey Sanders, a seventeen year old loner, is plagued by frightening nightmares, in her dreams and in real life, all seemingly surrounded by the same frightening entity: Freddy Krueger. But Freddy seems to understand what Joey's going through, and decides to make a proposition to her. One she can't refuse... Under penalty of death. Meanwhile, the other camp members start dying one by one, and it's up to Joey to stop it. But can the puppet fight the will of the puppeteer without getting herself killed by yet another dark entity? There's only one way to find out.
"Like I said, I'm really sorry we haven't been able to hang out as much," Jarod's words repeated themselves. "It's because I've been too busy. Sorry if I ignored you."
Joey blinked as the memory faded from her dream, and she found herself looking into her reflection again. She didn't even notice she had been crying until she say her face, blotchy red and tears streaming down one by one.
He had all the time in the world for his little flower...
He had enough time to spare for Bella.
But for his oldest friend, his dearest friend...
He was just...
"TOO BUSY?!" Joey hollered at her reflection, before shoving the mirror down, watching as it shattered into literally thousands of unrepairable pieces. She collapsed to her knees and sobbed openly wiping at her cheeks feverishly with her hoodie sleeves.
Jarod's words echoed through her head, even though she tried with all her strength to shut them out.
Too busy for my friend...
Joey clutched at her head, rolling over on her side as she cried.
She hated Bella.
She hated Camp Crystal Lake.
She hated the world.
She hated herself.
Joey barely registered the sound of approaching footsteps, too busy wallowing in her own self-pity.
"Well, now. Isn't this a predicament?" the soft, yet demonic voice taunted. Joey peered up with a weak glare, silently cursing the dream fucker for all she was worth. Freddy's evil eyes met hers, the red orbs matching the crooked, rotten smile.
"Fuck off, bastard," she spat, sitting up and inching her way back, inconspicuously.
Freddy's disfigured, burnt face seemed to mock innocence and concern. "But I'm worried."
"What are you worried about? You want to kill me," she accused, her hands searching for anything that wasn't glass that she could use as protection.
"Well, after that little episode, I thought that maybe we could talk. Get to know eachother better, if you catch my drift."
"I'm fucking seventeen, you asshat!" she hissed, finally closing her hands around the frame of the busted mirror.
"Look. I know what it feels like to be abandoned. To be forgotten," Freddy's right hand idly opened and closed its blades, Freddy studying them with a distant expression. That suddenly changed when Freddy's disfigured face twisted into a large grin and he put his hand by his mouth, looking like he was about to tell a secret. "Let us now take a little peek into the future should this continue."
"I don't want to hear it!" Joey hollered, getting up and taking a swing at him. The end of the frame splintered when Freddy simply side-stepped and she ended up hitting the wall.
"He's leaving you in the dark, Joey. Can't you see that already?" Freddy snickered. "Your best boy friend. Why should he stay? What have you to offer him?"
"Shut the fuck up! Leave me alone!" Joey screamed, taking another swing, and missing yet again.
"Think of it:" Freddy continued as if he hadn't been interrupted, "A few years from now. What's this? Why, it's Jarod! He's in his living room, and the front door is closed."
"I'll open it!" Joey hollered, swinging over him, intending to bash Freddy's head. Freddy's clawed glove caught the piece of wood, and no matter how hard Joey tugged, she couldn't get it back.
"'Fraid the door is locked," Freddy sneered.
"I'll call out his name!"
"He can't hear you."
"No!" Joey sobbed, starting to cry again.
"He can't see you. He's forgotten all about you," Freddy taunted.
"And what is this? There's Bella, who's taken your place. She's not the girlfriend any more."
"NO!" Joey hollered, her eyes widening in horror. How could this happen? It couldn't happen. It couldn't happen!
"She is now wife," Freddy leaned in as he whispered the last word into her face.
"STOP! PLEASE! STOP IT!"
